This page will be edited whenever I like, because I’m domineering like that :)
I am your typical Asian girl (age: 18 as of 2011) but contrary to popular belief, my eyes are not slanted not small. As much as I want my parents to be wealthy billionaires who set up my trust fund before I was born, or perhaps a husband-and-wife duo singing band who travel around the world, or even chefs who cook for a living, no. My life is more average than you can ever imagine, but I’m not complaining.
I’ve been fortunate enough to have a roof over my head for the pass 18 years and I hardly go hungry (unless I choose to diet), so I count my blessings everyday. Being educated in a Chinese vernacular environment for the past 12 years or so has instilled a lot of ‘Chinese’ values in me, among them – anything less than an A is terrible, you must study hard or you will be a rubbish collector, grow up must make a lot of money etc. I keep them in mind.
I am currently pursuing my A-Levels, and God willing, I should be on my way to university next year. My backup plans in case I don’t make it to university include opening a roadside stall selling muffins, teaching piano to small annoying children and winning marathons so that I can survive on the cash prize.
My hobbies include fashion (really, it’s just a euphemism for buying a lot of clothes), making wrong decisions, baking and cooking, hitting the keypad on my baby Blackberry and much more.
My life has its fair share of ups and downs. I am a pessimist by nature, which explains why I worry about every single obstacle put in my way, but God has His ways of always making things better :) I am a witness to that countless of times.
This blog serves as a diary, so that I can document all my thoughts and musings before I forget them (soon enough). Don’t worry if you cannot comprehend what I write half of the time. I give you my utmost respect if you can even understand half of it. Have a good day! :)
